Setting aside his political journey in the territory left devastated by the colonial regime, another very important aspect of his personality was that of a wonderful father of INDIRA PRIYADARSHINI NEHRU ( who later became INDIRA GANDHI). The values and sense of freedom that he must have given her reflect so well in her unflinching decision making capability so as to make her the very epitome of feminine strength.
Nehru would relentlessly work towards carving a leader in Indira , and one such endeavour was to write a letter to her everyday , while he was in prison. The nation cannot thank this exceptional dad enough for giving us a great leader with such capabilities and intellect, not many can dream of. Disseminating the curse of terrorism from the land of five rivers, she was a brave daughter who laid her life on the path of service to her nation….INDIA.
This amazing bond between great father and his yet great daughter needs to be celebrated forever.
